ΕΠΙΣΚΕΨΗ ΔΡ. ΟΛΓΑΣ  ΣΑΡΑΝΤΟΠΟΥΛΟΥ ΣΤΗΝ ΟΜΟΓΕΝΕΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΤΣΕΧΙΑΣ 

Στην ελληνική παροικία της Τσεχίας βρέθηκε η Γραμματέας του ΣΑΕ Δρ. Όλγα Σαραντοπούλου. Προσκεκλημένη του προέδρου της Ομοσπονδίας Ελληνικών Κοινοτήτων της Δημοκρατίας της Τσεχίας κ. Χρήστου Μπιάλα, παρακολούθησε τις πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις που διοργάνωσε η Ομοσπονδία Ελληνικών Κοινοτήτων της Τσέχικης Δημοκρατίας «Ελληνικές Ημέρες 2009».  

Η Γραμματέας ΣΑΕ στο πλαίσιο της επίσκεψής συναντήθηκε με εκπροσώπους των ομογενειακών οργανώσεων, και συζήτησαν εκτενώς το θέμα της ελληνόγλωσσης εκπαίδευσης και τα προβλήματα που αντιμετωπίζει ο Ελληνισμός, ενώ τα μέλη της Ομοσπονδίας διευκρίνισαν ότι χρειάζεται η οικονομική ενίσχυση των δράσεων του Ελληνισμού από την Ελληνική Πολιτεία με στόχο να στηριχθεί και να διασωθεί το Ελληνικό στοιχείο που διαβιεί στην Τσεχία. 

Ειδικότερα, στο θέμα της ελληνόγλωσσης εκπαίδευσης, έντονος είναι ο προβληματισμός στην ελληνική παροικία, καθώς η Τσεχική κυβέρνηση, λόγω της οικονομικής στενότητας που αντιμετωπίζει, διέκοψε την οικονομική ενίσχυση προς την Ομοσπονδία Ελληνικών Κοινοτήτων της Τσεχικής Δημοκρατίας, με αποτέλεσμα να μην είναι δυνατή η καταβολή των μισθών στους ομογενείς δασκάλους. Είναι χαρακτηριστικό δε, ότι εδώ και έξι μήνες παραμένουν απλήρωτοι. «Εάν δεν βρεθεί λύση στο πρόβλημα, τα παιδιά μας δεν θα διδάσκονται τα ελληνικά, δεν θα επιζήσουν οι κοινότητες. Ο Ελληνισμός θα χαθεί» επεσήμαναν οι ομογενείς. 

Η Δρ. Σαραντοπούλου απεύθυνε ομιλία προς τα στελέχη του Ελληνισμού,  και διαβίβασε τις ευχές του προέδρου του ΣΑΕ κ. Στέφανου Ταμβάκη, του Περιφερειάρχη Ευρώπης κ.  Γ. Αμαραντίδη και των μελών του προεδρείου. Ευχαρίστησε τα μέλη της Ομογένειας για τις ακούραστες προσπάθειες και σημαντικές πρωτοβουλίες τους χάρη στις οποίες η κοινωνία της Τσεχίας έχει βαθιά ριζωμένη το ελληνικό χρώμα. 

„Αν και η προσφυγιά άφησε μνήμες θλιβερές, εκείνοι κατόρθωσαν να δημιουργήσουν από την αρχή μια νέα ζωή, μια δεύτερη πατρίδα, μην ξεχνώντας όμως την πατρίδα στην καρδιά τους, την Ελλάδα μας“, είπε. Τόνισε δε,  ότι η Ελλάδα θα πρέπει να στηρίξει τους Έλληνες της Τσεχίας στην προσπάθεια που κάνουν και διαβεβαίωσε ότι η στήριξη από το ΣΑΕ είναι συνεχής και η συνεργασία δεδομένη.

 Ακολούθησε δεξίωση στο δημαρχείο της πόλης, την οποία προσέφερε η Δήμαρχος της πόλης προς τιμήν της Ελληνικής Ομογένειας.  

Τις «Ελληνικές Ημέρες 2009», διοργάνωσαν για 7η συνεχή χρονιά η Ομοσπονδία Ελληνικών Κοινοτήτων της Τσεχικής Δημοκρατίας σε συνεργασία με την Ελληνική Κοινότητα της πόλης Κρνοβ, την υποστήριξη του Δήμου Κρνοβ, της Νομαρχίας Μοραβίας - Σιλεσίας, του υπουργείου Πολιτισμού της Τσεχικής Δημοκρατίας και της Ελληνικής Πολιτείας. Την έναρξη των εκδηλώσεων, στην οποία παρέστη η κ. Σαραντοπούλου, μπροστά από το Δημαρχείο, κήρυξε ο Έλληνας Πρέσβης στην Τσεχία Κωνσταντίνος Κοκόσης και η Δήμαρχος της πόλης Κρνοβ.  

Εκατοντάδες Έλληνες και Τσέχοι, παρακολούθησαν με ιδιαίτερο ενθουσιασμό τις χορευτικές παραστάσεις που έδωσαν το χορευτικό της Κοινότητας ΑΝΤΙΓΟΝΗ, το χορευτικό της κοινότητας της Πράγα ΑΚΡΟΠΟΛΙΣ, το Λύκειο Ελληνίδων, οι χορευτές παραδοσιακών συγκροτημάτων της Τσεχίας, Πολωνίας, Ουγγαρίας και Σλοβακίας, αλλά και το χορευτικό του Πνευματικού Κέντρου του Δήμου Αγρινίου, τα μέλη του οποίου ταξίδευσαν για να βρεθούν κοντά στον Ελληνισμό. 

Περίπου 3500 Έλληνες αποτελούν την ελληνική παροικία της Τσεχίας, ενώ είναι οργανωμένοι σε δεκατρείς κοινότητες με πολυπληθέστερη εκείνη της Πράγας, η οποία αριθμεί 300 μέλη. Η πόλη Κρνοβ, στην ανατολική Τσεχία, παλαιότερα φιλοξενούσε πολυπληθή ελληνική κοινότητα, η οποία ξεπερνούσε σε αριθμούς ακόμη και τον γηγενή πληθυσμό. Μάλιστα, όπως λένε οι ομογενείς, είχε προωθηθεί αίτημα προς την τσεχική κυβέρνηση, ώστε η πόλη να γίνει ελληνική. 

Σήμερα, η ελληνική κοινότητα δραστηριοποιείται έντονα και διοργανώνει κάθε χρόνο πληθώρα πολιτιστικών κυρίως εκδηλώσεων, στις οποίες συμμετέχουν Έλληνες και Τσέχοι.

DR. OLGA SARANTOPOULOS’ VISIT TO THE GREEK COMMUNITY OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC  

 Invited by the Chairman of the Federation of Greek Communities of the Czech Republic Mr. Christos Bialas, the SAE Secretary attended the cultural events entitled : «Hellenic Days 2009»,which were organized by the Federation, in the city of Krnov.

Mrs. Sarantopoulos, during her visit, met with representatives of the Greek communities in the country and discussed issues concerning Hellenism in the Czech Republic and in particular the problems that the Federation is encountering in regards to the Hellenic education.

Members of the Federation expressed the need of financial aid from the Greek Government to the Federation’s programs aiming to the preservation of the Hellenism in the region.  

Particularly in the issue of the Hellenic Education, the board members and representatives of the Greek communities expressed great concern, as the Czech government, due to economic scarcity, suspended economic aid to the Federation, making it almost impossible to pay the Greek language teachers’ salaries. As community leaders stressed, the teachers have not received payment for the last six months.

«If we will not find a solution to the problem, our children will not be able to learn Greek, the communities will not survive. Hellenism will not survive” stressed the Federation’s representatives.

 
Dr. Sarantopoulos addressed the community members, conveying the best wishes of the President of SAE Mr. Stefano Tamvakis, the Coordinator of the SAE for Europe Mr. G. Amarantides and the members of the SAE presidium.

She expressed her gratitude for their tireless efforts and important initiatives through which “the Greek color is deeply rooted in the Czech society“, she said.  

«Although fleeing from Greece has left painful memories, and times were very difficult, the Greeks here managed to make a new start, giving their children a new life in this country, but they did not forget their homeland. Greece is in their hearts» she said. Dr. Sarantopoulos stressed that Greece should support our people in the Czech Republic and assured them that SAE’s support and cooperation is a given.
A reception at the City Hall followed, organized by the mayor in honor of the Greeks in the city of Krnov .  

The «Hellenic Days 2009», was organized for the 7th consecutive year by  the Federation of Greek Communities of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Hellenic Community of the city of Krnov, with the support of the municipality, the prefecture of Moravia - Silesia, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Greek State.

Dr. Sarantopoulos attended the inauguration of the cultural events that took place in the square in front of the city hall. The Ambassador of Greece to the Czech Republic Konstantinos Kokossis and the mayor of the city of Krnov gave the inaugural speech.  

A large number of Greeks and Czechs attended with great enthusiasm the dance performances given by the dancing troop of the Greek Community of Krnov ANTIGONE, the Greek community of Prague ACROPOLIS, and the Lykion Ellinidon. Traditional dancers of the Czech Republic , Poland , Hungary and Slovakia also participated in the festivities, as well as the dancers of the Cultural Center of the City Agrinion, whose members traveled to attend this special occasion honoring Hellenism.

Approximately 3,500 Greeks live in the Czech Republic , organized in thirteen communities. Prague is home to the largest Greek community with 300 members. The city of Krnov in the eastern part of the Czech Republic , in the past hosted a numerous Greek community, whose members exceeded in numbers even the indigenous population. Indeed, as the Greeks say, they even had filed an application to the Czech government, requesting that the city should be Greek.  

Today, the Greek community is very active and organizes every year a plethora of cultural events mainly, in which Greeks and Czechs participate.
